PTFE (Teflon) Belts for Tortilla Processing

 

Our group of Tortilla Belts was developed in order to provide a Non Stick, Wear Resistant Product to enable the Processor to achieve maximum efficiency and savings.

 

This Product Group consists of three separate sub groups based upon the Processors unique requirements.

 

FLX-AAA       This in Ultra Premium Grade of PTFE coated fabric coupled with a woven fiberglass substrate.

 

This fabric is used in the production of Tortilla Press Belts and Covers. It is designed for applications where the belts are well maintained and a long application life is desired.

 

FLX-AA          This is a Premium Grade of PTFE coated fabric coupled with a woven substrate of fiberglass or Kevlar.

 

This fabric is used in the production of Tortilla Press Belts and Covers. It is designed to give maximum performance in applications where speed of production is of utmost importance. The belts are slightly less expensive than the FLX-AAA belts, however they are cost effective in many Tortilla Plants.

 

FLX-CP          This is a Co-Polymer coating on woven fabric that combines the properties of more than a single polymer.

 

The fabric is used in the production of Tortilla Press Belts and Covers. It is designed to give last of extended periods eliminating the need to “change out” belts frequently. It is the most expensive product in the group. It has proven in many cases however to be more cost effective that other belts on the marker including the Laminate Type Belt Fabric.

 

Features of FLXCELL FLX Series Tortilla Belts and Covers:

 

Release Properties; The PTFE (Teflon) release characteristics are far superior to any other high temperature material. The Non Stick Property is retained over a wide range of temperatures (-400 F - + 550 F)

 

Chemical Resistance; The FLXCELL group of Belts and Cover is resistant to solvents and chemicals used to clean food contact surfaces clean.

 

Low Friction; The FLXCELL Tortilla Belts will slide easily over platens, slider beds and other work surfaces.

Dimensional Stability; FLXCELL will not stretch or shrink under temperature, load or pressure.

 

Taste and Odor Transfer; FLXCELL Belts and Covers are odorless and tasteless. In addition this group of products will not absorb any odors of tastes.

 

FDA Compliance; FLXCELL Tortilla Products comply with FDA regulations that apply to Direct Food Contact. (21 CFR177.1559)
