FLX PTFE Tortilla Press Belts are used routinely in the preparation of flour Tortilla. The belts are heat resistant up to 550° F.

The FLX belts have very good release properties allowing the tortilla to easily slide from the belt surface. The heavy PTFE coating insures that the Tortilla Press Belts will not absorb the grease and oils from the Tortilla during the pressing process.

The belts are odorless and tasteless. The belts are easy to maintain by cleaning the belting surface of residual fluor from time to time.

Maintenance is the key to the longevity of a Tortilla Press Belt. FLX insures that the coating is heavy and able to resist a certain amount of abuse, however the maintenace is still a key factor in longevity.

Top Platens on many of the Tortilla Presses are also line with PTFE coated fabrics. These fabrics are for the most part constructed of the same material as the belts. It is important to keep the top platens clean as well.
